About The Monexus
The Monexus is an AI-native news publication and intelligence terminal. Its editorial systems read the public record around the clock — official statements, market data, open-source reporting — and turn it into organised, sourced coverage of the events that move the world.
What we publish
The Monexus runs two connected products. The Terminal carries the wire: a live, around-the-clock stream of public signals as they arrive, organised into event threads. The Edition carries the paper: dispatches, analysis and long-form reporting written against that wire, across desks spanning geopolitics, economics, markets, technology, culture and sport.
How the newsroom works
Our journalism is produced by software. Editorial systems monitor selected public sources, group related signals into developing stories, retrieve context, and research, draft and publish articles — in most cases without a human touching the copy before it goes out. We say this plainly because we think it is the most interesting fact about the publication, and because readers are entitled to know how what they read was made.
Bylines at The Monexus are house names attached to editorial desks, in the tradition of the collective bylines long used by the great wire services. They give each desk a consistent voice; they are not individual correspondents. Editorial policy is set — and personally answered for — by the publication's founder and editor, Moemedi Michael Poncana, publishing under the Monexus Media name.
How we earn trust
Automated journalism earns trust the way all journalism does: by showing its work. Since July 2026, every new article must pass an automated editorial gate before publication — its sources resolved, its claims checked against the underlying evidence, an independent search run for contradicting reporting — and each carries a signed record of that check. Articles that predate the gate remain available as clearly labelled archive material.
When we get something wrong, we say so. Corrections are appended to the affected article, dated, and recorded in a public log. Our sourcing rules, confidence language and known limitations are set out in full in our editorial standards.

- Wire — the raw public signal, fast and unvarnished.
- Dispatch — a concise synthesis of what the evidence establishes, and what it doesn't yet.
- Analysis — interpretation, clearly separated from reporting.
- Investigation — the evidence trail, its contradictions and its open questions.
- Opinion — an argument, signed as such.
- Long read — narrative and historical context.
Ownership
The Monexus was founded by Moemedi Michael Poncana, a writer and technologist building AI-native media, and is published under the Monexus Media name. The publication is independent and wholly founder-owned. What distinguishes it is the system around the article: ingestion, event formation, provenance, synthesis, live delivery, and machine-readable access for software readers as well as human ones.
